From 2023 to 2024, Megennis raced with Turner Motorsport in the BMW M4 GT3, finishing third in the championship as the highest-placed BMW entry in 2024. The team also led more laps and secured more pole positions than any other competitor during the 2023 season. In 2022, he competed in the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo, collecting three podium finishes and remaining in championship contention until a DNF in the final round. Megennis made his IMSA debut in 2021 with the Lexus RC F GT3, culminating in a third-place finish at the season finale Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.
Prior to his transition to sports car racing, Megennis competed in the Indy Lights Championship with Andretti Autosport in 2019 and 2021. During his tenure, he claimed victory at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway and earned pole position for the Freedom 100. Following the cancellation of the 2020 Indy Lights season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Megennis expanded his international experience by contesting two rounds of the European Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental GT Challenge Indianapolis 8 Hour with Acura/HPD.
Off the track, Megennis serves as Managing Director of Megennis Motorsport, working closely with technology executives from global industry leaders and executive teams from top venture-backed startups. He also operates in a field and evangelism role for his technology partners. In 2020 and 2021, he acted as an advisor to West Point and Purdue University during their effort to develop an autonomous version of his race car.
Based in New York City, Megennis spends his free time training on the simulator, rock climbing, working out, learning to DJ, attending EDM concerts and festivals, and following his favorite sports teams.
