Having collected over 35 podium finishes over his nine years of professional racing in single-seaters,

sports cars, and prototypes, Robert Megennis is piloting the #66 Ford Mustang GT3 for Gradient Racing and the #2 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for CSM in 2025, his 4th full IMSA season. In 2023 and 2024, he was a part of the Turner Motorsport BMW team, securing third in the championship as the highest-finishing BMW (2024) and leading more laps and earning more poles than any other team (2023).
In 2022, Megennis raced the #39 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo, earning 3 podium finishes and a fight for the championship until a DNF in the final round put the team out of contention. Megennis first entered the IMSA paddock in 2021 in the Lexus RC F GT3, which he drove to a third place finish at the season finale Motul Petit Le Mans.
Before making the transition to sports cars, Megennis competed in the Indy Lights Championship with Andretti Autosport in 2019 and 2021. His two-year tenure included a win at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway and pole position at the Freedom 100. With the cancellation of the Indy Lights season in 2020 due to the Covid-19 epidemic, Megennis contested two rounds of the European Le Mans Series as well as the Intercontinental GT Challenge Indianapolis 8 Hour with Acura/HPD.
When he’s not on track, Megennis is Managing Director of Megennis Motorsport, working closely with technology executives from the world's leading companies and executive teams from some of the best VC funded startups. He also works in a field/evangelism role for his technology partners. In 2020/2021, he was an advisor to West Point/Purdue University as they competed to build an autonomous version of his race car. A resident of New York City, Megennis spends his spare time practicing on the simulator, rock climbing, exercising, learning how to DJ, attending EDM concerts and festivals, and following his favorite sports teams.
