In 2023 and 2024, Megennis raced with Turner Motorsport in the BMW M4 GT3, finishing third in the championship as the highest-placed BMW entry in 2024. Megennis made his IMSA debut in 2021 with the Lexus RC F GT3, culminating in a third-place finish at the season finale Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.
Prior to his transition to sports car racing, Megennis competed in the Indy Lights Championship with Andretti Autosport in 2019 and 2021. During his tenure, he claimed victory at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway and earned pole position for the Freedom 100. Following the cancellation of the 2020 Indy Lights season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Megennis expanded his international experience by contesting two rounds of the European Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental GT Challenge Indianapolis 8 Hour with Acura/HPD.
Off the track, Megennis serves as Managing Director of Megennis Motorsport, where he leads partner development and program execution. He also acts as a business development and go-to-market executive for the company's technology partners, operating in a sales and evangelism role and collaborating with executives from the world's leading companies. In 2020 and 2021, he advised West Point and Purdue University on their effort to develop an autonomous version of his race car.
As a public speaker, Megennis presents on racing and technology, as well as teamwork and leadership. He also works as a driver coach to drivers at every level, from those pursuing the top tiers of professional motorsports to weekend racers looking to have fun with friends.
